Backed by a wealth of professional experience in interior design, Ms. MacLean excels in her work at Hinojosa Design Studio. She notably earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior design from Miami International University in 2009. In 2010, she enrolled in a summer intensive course in product design at Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Italy. Previously, Ms. MacLean completed a semester interior design program at the Altos de Chavon School of Design in the Dominican Republic in 2005 and a summer exchange program in art history with Miami International University in 2008.
Ms. MacLean initially became inspired to pursue a career in her profession by her mother, who was an interior designer for 40 years. Her mother owned an interior design company in Bolivia, and when they relocated to the United States, she opened the Hinojosa Design Studio in 2000. Ms. MacLean became involved in the company in 2009, and currently holds the post of a senior designer.
Likewise, Ms. MacLean has found success as an interior designer. Prior to these appointments, she served as a furniture design assistant for Holly Hunt in 2009. Currently, Ms. MacLean remains active as a volunteer for the Special Olympics and a devoted supporter of Kid Sanctuary Campus, CasaCor Miami and Design on a Dime.
With her clear dedication to her craft, Ms. MacLean's work has not gone unnoticed by other experts in her field. Hinojosa Design Studio has been recognized Best High End Interior Design Firm in Miami by the Built Architecture Awards and the Best of the Best High End Residential, Regionally and Locally, by the Luxe Awards. She was also nominated for the International Design and Architecture Award in 2019. Additionally, Ms. MacLean's work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Surface Magazine, Wallpaper Magazine, CNN, Luxe Magazine, the Robb Report, Ocean Drive, DPages and Metropolitan Magazine.
Ms. McLean attributes her success to her mother, who she describes as the greatest mentor she has had. She fondly recalls being by her side and witnessing her work as extremely important to her own professional growth as a designer. Looking toward the future, Ms. MacLean hopes to develop with another product line and become more involved in her community.
