SALEM, OR, October 31, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Lucretia Ann Benolken with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Benolken celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A nursing consultant for Brain Heart Care in Portland and C. Med in Salem, Ms. Benolken formerly spent much of her time in the field. She was an associate executive director for Valley Community Hospital in Dallas, Oregon, and an assistant administrator at Tomball Community Hospital in Texas. Ms. Benolken also taught psychiatric nursing at the College of St. Catherine in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and at The Seton Institute in Baltimore and was director of the registered nurse and Bachelor of Science outreach program in the school of nursing at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, and later taught online in that program.
At one point in her career, Ms. Benolken was approached by the chief executive officer of an area hospital to apply for an open position as the director. Although she knew that she didn't meet the requirements for the position, she still applied, but on an interim basis. The opportunity allowed Ms. Benolken to learn the many complexities of working in a hospital and the experience eventually led to a new career in consulting.
Ms. Benolken acquired a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the College of St. Catherine in 1955. She soon after received a Master of Science in Nursing at Catholic University in 1958. To remain aware in her field, she was a member and past president of the Oregon Organization of Nurse Executives. She also chaired the Williamette Council of Nurse Executives. In 1986, Ms. Benolken received an Outstanding Achievement Award for Quality Assurance. A celebrated Marquis listee, she has been featured in the fourth and fifth editions of Who's Who in American Nursing.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Lucretia Ann Benolken has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
