MADISON, WI, November 06, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Barbara Arntz with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Arntz celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Backed by professional experience in teaching, Ms. Arntz received a Bachelor of Education from a Wisconsin State University in 1965. Since that time, she has been a teacher at various schools in Wisconsin for nearly 40 years. From 1967 to 1990, she taught at the Westside School in Sun Prairie and, previously, at Walworth Grade School between 1958 and 1967. Prior to this, she served as a teacher at Brick Church School in Walworth from 1955 until 1957 and Wayne Center School in South Wayne from 1952 to 1955. Ms. Arntz's inaugural positions in the field were as a teacher at Utica Grade School in Utica from 1952 to 1953 and at Cherry Branch School in Woodford from 1951 to 1952.

As a young girl, Ms. Arntz's original ambition was to become a nurse. However, as one of three children living in the 1940s, financial strain led her father to instead offer to pay for a two-year teaching college. She accepted, and found that she adored teaching so thoroughly that she never returned to the idea of nursing school. In a career suffused with highlights, Ms. Arntz's abiding moment of pride from her years of teaching was the bond she forged with four girls she taught in 1955. To this day, twice annually, they still meet and have luncheons together.

In addition to her career as a teacher, Ms. Arntz is a published author of the books "A Guide to Journal Writing" and "Student Guide to Olbrich Gardens." She is a member of the Wisconsin State Historical Society, the Audubon Society and the International Crane Foundation. In recognition of her laudable achievements, she was the recipient of the Math Education Award from the Wisconsin Mathematics Council in 1990 and the Service Award from the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in 1990. In her free time, Ms. Arntz enjoys painting, crocheting, poetry, sewing, raising orchids and teaching classes for children at Olbrich Gardens.
