SAINT SIMONS ISLAND, GA, November 07, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Marilyn Anderson with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Anderson celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Anderson is a small business owner and investor with more than 55 years of expertise in her field. Following her graduation from high school, she became interested in working for a technical firm, and attended the Perry Business School with the goal of learning speed writing. Ms. Anderson graduated in 1955, and was drawn to architecture and technical drafting after building a home with her husband.
When her husband decided to pursue a career as a builder, Ms. Anderson joined him as a designer and draftswoman. From 1963 until 1992, she garnered a laudable reputation as a draftswoman and partner of Harvey Anderson Construction in Brunswick. Together, the couple established a general contracting and real estate development business which specializes in providing designs for commercial and residential clients across all budgets, completing projects as diverse as churches, hospitals, and single-family homes.
Ms. Anderson considers it an honor to revisit the buildings and homes she designed and observe how well they are serving their occupants. She is the author of a book, "Sump'n t'eat & Sump'n on it," a coffee table cookbook that contains recipes and words of inspiration published in 2000, and an avid angler, holding numerous local and state catch records. Ms. Anderson was a member of the Saltwater Licensing Committee, Northeast Florida Marlin Association, the first female boat captain inducted into this prestigious all male organization, and the Golden Isles Sport Fishing Club, for which she served as the first female president between 1990 and 1991.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Marilyn Anderson has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
