With the aid of Globus Relief and the assistance of Governor Cuomo, the National Guard was able to ship the entire donation to the island as part of a huge Puerto Rico relief effort.
Previously, Mr. Rosas was responsible for a bar and restaurant program for the city of Dunkirk. Conducting a community festival on a strictly volunteer basis, the festival drew in 10,000 people from the surrounding areas. Due to his outstanding work in the field, he applied for and received a number of grants through the state of New York. Likewise, Mr. Rosas was presented with numerous Letters of Commendation for his successful festivals and special events for the city of Dunkirk from Mayor Wilfred Rosas-Dunkirk.
In addition to the aforementioned recognitions, Mr. Rosas was celebrated with a Letter of Commendation from Senator Catherine Young and a Letter of Recognition from Governor Andrew Cuomo. He further accrued the United Way Community Impact & Tourism Award for Dunkirk's "Music On the Pier" Summer Concert Series and the Lake Erie Living Magazine's Best Hot Spot Award. Mr. Hector Rosas further assisted Mayor Wilfred Rosas in acquiring deals through CBS Sports Network to broadcast Dunkirk's Great Lakes Offshore Grand Prix in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
