Mr. Millicker currently excels in his specialty area of Mid-Century Contemporary design. He attributes his success to the coursework in interior design, architecture, and advertising and industrial design that he completed while attending the Pratt Institute. Earning a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from the aforementioned institute enabled him to learn from working design professionals. It was a powerful learning experience that provided the real world skills Mr. Millicker needed to pursue employment in the interior design field.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Millicker contributed his well-honed design expertise while working as a senior project designer at Cannell & Chaffin from 1966 to 1987. He garnered much expertise as an interior designer at Jim Coles & Associates while employed at the design firm from 1964 to 1966 and as an interior designer at Conn-Pozen Design, where he had worked from 1962 to 1964. Mr. Millicker began his career in the interior design field as an associate designer at Samson Berman Associates in New York City in 1955. Mr. Millicker followed this position with service in the United States Army at U.S. Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany from 1956 to 1958.
He was born in 1932 to Daniel Joseph Millicker and Anastasia (Phelan) Millicker in Peekskill, NY.
He is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. Mr. Millicker's hobbies and interests include painting, hiking, history, and travel.
