Initially completing coursework at Howard University from 1972 to 1974, Mr. Lucas worked briefly for his regional post office before enlisting in the United States Army as a petroleum supply specialist from 1976 to 1979. Subsequently, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baruch College in 1982 utilizing his GI Bill. Mr. Lucas later pursued coursework in accounting at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, which led to an accounting position with the United States Department of Defense that he maintained for more than 20 years.
Certified as a defense financial manager Mr. Lucas gained valuable expertise in the government and education as an instructor in various business schools from 1989 to 1997. He was further active as a consultant for the federal government from 2008 until 2011. Today, Mr. Lucas excels as a disc jockey and as the inventor of the Fruitsuit Card Game.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Lucas is affiliated with the National Association for the Advanced of Colored People. Looking toward the future, he intends to expand upon the success he has achieved with the Fruitsuit Card Game. Attributing his success to his ability to listen and learn, Mr. Lucas is currently in the process of having the aforementioned game converted into a mobile phone application.
