With more than 50 years of professional experience to his credit, Mr. Bowden has been a partner with Leech Tishman Fuscaldo and Lampl, LLC, since 2012, also serving as the co-chair of the firm's international practice group. Prior to his current roles, he was a partner with Duane Morris, LLP, from 2004 to 2012. Mr. Bowden began his career with what was then Buchanan Ingersoll Rodewald Kyle & Buerger, from 1966 to 2004 and as a partner beginning in 1972.
Mr. Bowden pursued his undergraduate education at Amherst College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English language and literature in 1963. He continued his studies at Stanford University, earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1966. Mr. Bowden has been admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, and the Courts of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Bowden has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association, and Avrio Advocati (Belgium). He has further served as the secretary and the general counsel for Accuracy Incorporated, Aurora Imaging Technology, Inc., and Tinplate Partners International, Inc. Mr. Bowden has served as the president of the Associates Program at the University of Pittsburgh's Katz Graduate School of Business, Family Services of Western Pennsylvania, the Mattress Factory, Ltd. and the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and as the Chairman of the National Kidney Foundation and its Western Pennsylvania Affiliate, and of Legalink. He is the long-time Solicitor and Tax Collector of the Borough of Fox Chapel, where he and his family live.
A retired colonel of the United States Army Reserve, Mr. Bowden has also served as a deacon and an elder with the East Liberty Presbyterian Church and lay leader of the Faith United Methodist Church before returning to his Anglican roots. He has notably chaired committees for the United Network for Organ Sharing, the University Club, and Shadyside Hospital. He has also served on the Boards of the United Network for Organ Sharing, the Center for Organ Recovery and Education, the Beckwith Institute for Innovation in Patient Care, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Diversified Services, Inc., and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Mr. Bowden holds a Martindale Hubbell AV Rating, and the National Kidney Foundation recognized him as the Volunteer of the Year.
