Having accrued more than 21 years of experience in the field of real estate management, Mrs. Koch has distinguished herself as the president of JK Property Management, LLC since 2014. A full-service boutique property management company, the firm prides itself on expertly managing the administrative, financial, and maintenance concerns of individual condominium apartments, large condominium communities, and various associations. Prior to her affiliation with the aforementioned organization, Mrs. Koch worked with CV Property Management from 2007 until 2013, Gables Property Management between 2005 and 2007 and Florida Executive Realty from 2002 to 2005.
Prior to embarking upon her professional path, Mrs. Koch sought a formal education at the University of Central Florida, from which she earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and early childhood education in 2002. Inspired by the example of her parents, who owned commercial real estate, she was persuaded to pursue a career in real estate in her own right, first managing collegiate housing and advancing to handle independent commercial developers. Mrs. Koch soon assisted a friend of hers in starting their own property management company and, within a few years, she had purchased it herself.
A committed community advocate, Mrs. Koch has contributed avidly to her local area, running a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and serving as the executive vice president for Beth Torah. In light of this, as well as her unimpeachable talent as a property manager, she has been recognized with various accolades throughout her career. To wit, Mrs. Koch will be listed among those Best in Management for the South Florida Business Journal in 2020, and has already been bestowed with such honors as the Largest Homeowners Association and Best Full Service Property Management Firm, both in 2019; listing as a Woman of Distinction and among the Best of 2018 in Hollywood, Florida, in 2018; and the Largest Homeowners Association in Management in 2017, among numerous others.
In accounting for her success, Mrs. Koch attributes the positive influence of her husband, himself an attorney and partner at Greenberg Traurig, and her three children. She is also gratified to have the support of her colleagues and friends. Moreover, she is singularly dedicated to solving people's problems. In the coming years, Ms. Koch aspires to increase the amount of properties she manages, and hopes to change the industry of property management in general, gearing it more towards a personalized approach that can better suit the needs of homeowner associations.
