Ms. White is renowned as a retired secondary educator with more than 30 years of distinction in her field. She was inspired to pursue a career in education by her mother, who had her own dreams of becoming a teacher before joining the family construction business. Ms. White graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Ball State University in 1966, prior to earning a Master of Science from Indiana University in 1968.
From 1968 until her retirement in 2000, Ms. White excelled as a business instructor at North Central High School and the JEL Career Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. She additionally worked as a member of the faculty at Indianapolis University and Purdue University between 1970 to 1976. Serving on the alumni advisory committee at Indianapolis University from 1985 to 1988, Ms. White was recognized as an Outstanding Alumni Business Teacher by Ball State University in 1988.
Ms. White is a former member of the advisory council of the Indiana Women's Prison. She has further found success with the Member Administrative Management Society, the American Vocational Association, and the Indiana Business Education Association, where she formerly held the post of the president. She is incredibly proud of the relationships she has built with her students and considers the opportunity to watch them succeed to be the best part of her job. A 40-year Indianapolis University football game ticket holder, Ms. White has notably attended more than 65 bowl games throughout her storied career.
