Ms. Ann Elizabeth Reed Scharett is the recipient of a 30-Year Service Certificate from the New York State Division of Alcoholism in 1993.

Having accrued more than 30 years of expertise in her field, Ms. Scharett understood since childhood that she wanted to become a nurse. Working for the Willard Psychiatric Center (formerly Willard State Hospital) in Willard, she contributed for more than 19 years at the maximum-security center, caring for both men and women as a staff nurse and later by helping establish an alcoholic treatment program. In 1981, Ms. Scharett was hired as a nurse administrator and alcoholism rehabilitation coordinator at the Dick Van Dyke Addiction Treatment Center in Willard. She concluded her career in 1995 after nine years as the assistant director of the John L. Norris Treatment Center in Rochester.
Very active in her field throughout her career, Ms. Scharett volunteered her time as a counselor for her local Crisis Pregnancy Care Center, as the chairman of the Region 2 Alcoholism Service Provides Group in Rochester and on the board of directors of the Finger Lakes Alcoholism Counsel and Referral Agency in Clifton Springs. She also served as a guest lecturer at Tompkins-Cortland Community College in Ithaca. Among her community initiatives, Ms. Scharett volunteered with the United Way of Willard and the American Red Cross of Seneca County. She sat on the board of directors of the Interlaken Christian School in New York and was a youth advisor, Sunday school teacher and provider of first aid and counseling services at the First Baptist Church of Interlaken.
Ms. Scharett received a Bachelor of Science at Saint Joseph's College in 1984. To remain aware of developments in her field, she is a member of the New York Federation of Alcoholism Counselors. She is also active with the National Association of Female Executives. The recipient of a 30-Year Service Certificate from the New York State Division of Alcoholism in 1993, Ms. Scharett is also a celebrated Marquis listee who has been included in the fourth and fifth editions of Who's Who in American Nursing and the 16th and 17th editions of Who's Who of American Women.
