He has been admitted to practice law in the State and Federal Courts of New Jersey since 1973. Mr. Ritter is also a certified civil trial advocate through the National Board of Trial Advocacy and is certified as a civil trial attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
In order to remain well-versed in the intricacies of his field, Mr. Ritter has affiliated with numerous organizations pertinent to his areas of expertise. To wit, he is a current member and treasurer of the Southern New Jersey chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Ritter is also a member of the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys, the American Bar Association, the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey and the Cumberland County Bar Association (President 1983-84).
Recognized for his achievements, Mr. Ritter was named as the New Jersey Professional Lawyer of the Year by the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in 1999 and was later the recipient of the Trial Bar Award by the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey in 2003. In 2011, he was also honored with the Distinguished Service Award from the Cumberland County Bar Association. The award has only been presented six times in the past 40 years. Consistently named as a New Jersey Super Lawyer by New Jersey Magazine, Mr. Ritter is also a celebrated Marquis listee who has been featured in the 10th edition of Who's Who in American Law.
