Since 2004, Mr. Button has excelled as an attorney for the Office of the Secretary of State. In this critical position, he drafts legislation for the office, processes extraditions and answers questions from differing political parties. During his spare time, Mr. Button proudly contributes to his community as the chief negotiator and an officer of A&R Employees Union #4200.
Prior to embarking on a career in law, Mr. Button taught English in his community. During this time, he began to see and feel how important the law was in shaping the lives of others. Even though he believes that education is important, Mr. Button wanted a more direct way to shape laws and decided to become an attorney.
In pursuit of a career in law, Mr. Button earned a Bachelor of Arts in English language and literature from the University of Connecticut in 1993. Subsequently, he obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1999.
