She initially pursued an education at Schreiner University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and international relations, summa cum laude, in 2012. Ms. Lyon subsequently obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence at The George Washington University Law School in 2015, during which time she developed an interest in financial services compliance.
From 2013 to 2014, Ms. Lyon completed internships in business intelligence, international law, and regulatory compliance with the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law, the State Department Federal Credit Union and the World Bank Group. She worked as a law clerk at Akin-Deko Professional Services Firm PLLC from 2014 to 2015. Ms. Lyon later returned to financial institutions as a risk management specialist with the GEICO Federal Credit Union in 2015.
Ms. Lyon further flourished as a senior regulatory compliance counsel for NAFCU from 2016 to 2018, at which point she joined Ncontracts as the director of compliance. Since 2019, she has excelled as the vice president of compliance for Ncontracts. Likewise, Ms. Lyon is a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists and the Maryland Bar Association.
