The Wisconsin Regional Artists Association has presented Ms. Betsy Olk Borchardt with the Kenneth and Marie Kuemmerlein Award in 1992 and the Obermiller Education Award in 1996.

Recently, she has presented her work in group exhibitions at the Redgranite Labor Day Art Show in 2018, the Wisconsin Regional Art Program Janesville Art Show in 2018, the Rountree Gallery in 2006 and 2009, Sunday in the Park at the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum in 2007 and Art for All in Menominee, MI, in 2002 and 2007. Furthermore, Ms. Borchardt's work has been displayed at the Howard Young Medical Center in 2004, Our Savior Lutheran Church in 1998, the Wisconsin Center in 1996, the Art Barn Gallery in 1995 and the Neville Public Museum in 1990.
During this time, Ms. Borchardt provided her artwork to Arizona State University's electronic transmission art project shown at the United Nations' Fourth World Conference on Women in 1995. Also featured in a sole exhibition at the Marinette campus of the University of Wisconsin in 2003 and 2009, her work was initially represented at the Kansas City Civic Center, the Kansas City Public Library and the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri. Notably, Ms. Borchardt has authored several written works, including "The Casting of Crowns" in 2018 and "A Personal Struggle" in 1987.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Borchardt pursued an education at Lawrence University, completing coursework in 1971. She continued her academic efforts with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology at St. Norbert College in 1980. Ms. Borchardt concluded her studies with postgraduate coursework at the University of Tennessee-Nashville branch School of Social Work in 1981.
Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Borchardt worked as a volunteer at the Franklin Center Coffee Shop in 1984, an activity aide at the Omro Care Center from 1988 to 1989 and a home health aide with the Upjohn Home Health Agency between 1989 and 1990. Following these appointments, she was active as a visual arts leader with 4-H in Winnebago County from 1991 until 1992. From 1991 to 2000, she held a number of positions with Maestro Productions, Inc., such as a chorus member, a drama cast member and a handbell choir member. During this time, she participated as a program aide for United Cerebral Palsy from 1996 until 1997. Moreover, Ms. Borchardt served as a volunteer tutor for Redgranite Elementary School between 1995 and 2000, a scientist pen-pal for the Museum of Science in Boston from 1996 to 2000 and a recruiting assistant for the U.S. Census Bureau in 2000.
Ms. Borchardt has further flourished in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles, including as a founding member of the Wildlife Land Trust Humane Society and a Wildlife Guardian for Defenders of Wildlife as of 1999. She subsequently excelled as a line therapist for Autism and Behavioral Consultants in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, between 2002 and 2003, and a volunteer reader for Story Hour at the Redgranite Public Library from 2005 to 2009. She additionally operated independently out of her private practices in Omro from 1990 until 1993 and Redgranite between 2009 and 2010. Likewise, she has contributed to Fox Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church as a volunteer for women's ministries, a communications writer and a Sabbath school kindergarten teacher from 2006 until 2014. Since 2018, Ms. Borchardt has held the roles of church clerk and an adult Sabbath school teacher with the Wautoma Seventh Day Adventist Church.
In addition to her primary vocation, Ms. Borchardt remains affiliated with myriad organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She began her involvement with the Wisconsin Writers Association, Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets, and the National Audubon Society in 2018. Furthermore, she was previously associated with Lions Clubs International as Omro Club secretary from 2001 to 2017. Ms. Borchardt is also a longtime member of both the Wisconsin Regional Artists Association and the Arbor Day Foundation.
In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Borchardt has accrued various accolades throughout her impressive career. The Wisconsin Regional Artists Association has presented her with the Kenneth and Marie Kuemmerlein Award in 1992 and the Obermiller Education Award in 1996.
