A respected advocate, firefighter and paramedic within his local community, Mr. Brown was notably named Firefighter and First Responder of the Year in 2016. With past professional experience as a paramedic firefighter, since 2019 she has served as the Paramedic Coordinator to the Vallejo Valley Fire Department. The aforementioned department consists of 86 employees staffed between administration, suppression, EMS, training and prevention divisions. The department averages more than 15,000 calls per year and boasts two of the busiest engines in the state. In addition to his role at the Vallejo Fire Department, since 2013, Mr. Brown organized multiple fundraiser events in support of the Solano Napa Firefighters Foundation. In early 2020, Mr. Brown was selected as the President of the Vallejo Firefighters Association.
Mr. Brown received an Associate of Science in fire technology and likewise holds a paramedic certification. He initially aspired to commence a career in the realm of firefighting in order to contribute to the community he grew up with. Mr. Brown fondly recalls an opportunity he had while coming of age to ride on the back of a firetruck during a yearly parade, and held onto that immense feeling of pride until and after he was officially sworn in as a firefighter.
Mr. Brown attributes much of his career success to his determination and constant hard work. Throughout his career, he has put a great number of hours into his role and he has a much love for the community he serves. In five years' time, Mr. Brown hopes to be promoted to suppression captain where he can be the lead of an engine company.
