Eldrige Conley is currently active as a grandmaster of Conley's Keichu-Do Academy of Martial Arts.
ENTERPRISE, AL, April 17, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Eldrige Conley has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Conley attended Grambling State University from 1971 to 1974 and earned degrees in music and criminal law from Cochise College in Douglas, Arizona in 1982. With a varied background and several areas of expertise, he is currently active as a grandmaster of Conley's Keichu-Do Academy of Martial Arts. In addition to his work in karate, Mr. Conley also served in the military for 30 years, rising to the rank of command sergeant major prior to his retirement.
Mr. Conley began studying the Keichu-Do style of martial arts in Alexandria, Louisiana under Soke Karl W. Marx. Under Karl W. Marx, he advanced to a seventh-degree black belt and was inducted into the Karl W. Marx Keichu-Do Hall of Fame. He advanced to the rank of 8th degree black belt, being the highest promoted black belt in Keichu-Do karate from Soke Karl William Marx in 2009. He was eventually promoted to ninth-degree black belt by Soke Michael McGann in 2017. Notably, Mr. Conley was also ranked number two in the American Karate Association for two years.
Throughout his career, Mr. Conley has been most proud to introduce his style of karate to a town in Germany, where it is still being practiced today. While in the military, he gained skills in areas such as human resource and organizational management, public speaking, logistics, personnel mobilization, quality control, training development, executive level advisement, operations management, flight operations, combat arms, and many others. For his military service, he received many commendation and meritorious service medals including the Army Legion of Merit. Currently, he maintains his affiliation with the Disabled Veterans Association. Looking toward the future, Mr. Conley plans to retire and travel more.
