Having accrued over 40 years of inimitable expertise in the field of engineering, Mr. Puskarz garnered a laudable reputation while working on behalf of several exemplary organizations throughout the United States. Prior to his retirement, he found success as the vice president and a partner of Fowler Products Co. between 1989 and 2001. He previously held positions of high leadership from 1973 onward, serving as the director of engineering for Barry Wehmiller Co. and the vice president of George J. Meyer Manufacturing, where he began as an engineering manager. Mr. Puskarz initially launched his career as a sales coordinator with Ideal Electric and Manufacturing Co. from 1959 to 1962, after which he served as a project and research and development engineer and field service supervisor for the eastern half of the U.S. for Alcoa, a major producer of aluminum, and Standard Knapp, a manufacturer of innovative packing machinery.
Throughout the length of his distinguished career, Mr. Puskarz lectured numerous times before the U.S. Brewers Association between 1980 and 1986. An experienced researcher and inventor, he holds nine U.S. and three international patents in his field. He has also contributed numerous articles and scientific papers to various professional publications as a result of his work. Renowned in his community for his leadership and service, Mr. Puskarz was a marriage prep counselor at the Catholic Center, University of Georgia, in Athens between 1992 and 1996. He had also became involved with the Boy Scouts of America, where he was notably named an eagle scout in Bristol, Connecticut, in 1952.
While coming of age, Mr. Puskarz was inspired by the example of his father, who served as his greatest mentor and friend. His long and abiding fascinating with automobiles influenced the younger man to pursue a similar career in engineering. Thanks to the nurturing environment he experienced during his childhood, Mr. Puskarz was able to follow in his father's footsteps, attain a formal education and become successful in his own right. He notably received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering at the Indiana Institute Technology in 1959 and subsequently became certified in advanced management through Washington University in 1979.
To support his career, Mr. Puskarz has been affiliated with several industry-related organizations, including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the International Society of Beverage Technologists and the Institute of Package Profiles. He is also a member, regional past president and former math counts coordinator for the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers. Mr. Puskarz was named as the Engineer of the Year by the Georgia Professional Engineers for 1995-1996. A celebrated Marquis listee, he has been cited in the 55th edition of Who's Who in America, the 20th edition of Who's Who in the World and several editions of Who's Who in Science and Engineering.
