Jari Majewski-Price attributes her success to her innovative mind and hard-working nature.
WHEAT RIDGE, CO, May 06, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jari Majewski-Price has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
As a child, Ms. Jari Majewski-Price struggled with traditional methods of learning until one of her teachers, Mrs. Gannon, discovered that she was a visual learner. Adapting to new learning modifications taught her how to excel in her studies and develop a strong work ethic. She always was an overachiever! With a unique set of skills, compassion, and understanding, Jari decided to pay it forward and make it her life's work to offer other young struggling students the same alternative learning options that were made available to her.
Jari also had a strong interest in musical theatre and American Sign Language when she was a young child. As her skill set grew, so did her passion for these outlets and Jari decided to make it her personal mission to blend these creative arts and provide opportunities for Deaf, hard of hearing and special needs children to flourish.
Prior to embarking upon her career path, Jari first studied Sign Language Interpretation at Northeastern University, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from New York City's Pace University, and earned a Masters in Deaf Education (M.Ed.) as well as a Masters in Early Childhood Education (MA) from Columbia University. Ms. Majewski-Price also holds a Certification in Deaf Education and Childhood Education in the state of New York. She worked at the National Theatre of the Deaf and has been a Teacher of the Deaf and Special Education for the past 10 years.
This journey inspired Ms. Majewski to do intensive study and research to develop a vibrational dance floor constructed of bone conduction transducers that vibrate through your body to the bones in your skull which then enables you to actually FEEL THE BEAT of music!!! All of which led to the conception of the Nonprofit, Feel the Beat, an all accessible dance studio, complete with a vibrational floor, where she currently serves as the executive director and founder. The children who step through those doors and experience music, some for the very first time, are exposed to a new freedom and a world of exploration. Their learning becomes limitless!
Ms. Majewski-Price attributes her success to her innovative mind and hard-working nature. She believes that struggling academically as a child inspired her to develop the work ethic and passion to succeed. As a successful educator, Ms. Majewski-Price has been most proud of the progress she has made with her students and loves to watch them grow and develop new abilities!
For her professional accomplishments, Ms. Majewski-Price received the Citizenship Award from the Suffolk County Board of Education. Recently, her studio was also recognized as the Best Dance Studio in Denver. Civically, Ms. Majewski maintains her affiliation with Hands and Voices, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Columbia Teachers College Alumni, Easter Seals, Megan's Place and DOVE.
In the coming years, Ms. Majewski-Price hopes to continue expanding Feel the Beat Corporation through donations and community engagement. She would also like to integrate her sound accessible flooring into special needs programs, studios, schools, and venues across the nation. Moreover, Ms. Price would eventually like to make an appearance on The "Ellen" Show to further promote her mission for ALL!
We have witnessed some of the most fascinating and miraculous results that this program has had on these children. Exposure to this state of the art dance floor has increased self-confidence and expression, increased socialization and discipline as well as improve coordination and motor skills. It is simply AMAZING!
