In his executive position, he is responsible for customer relations, works directly with insurance agents to assess and replace hail damage on properties, supervises projects from inception to completion, manages indirect marketing for the company and liaises with third parties to network services in a way that is mutually beneficial to both parties. Before joining Gates Enterprises, Mr. Smallwood worked as a customer service manager for Images Flooring. Between 2015 and 2017, he gained valuable expertise in management by way of supervising three representatives. Additionally, he had maintained responsibility for builder relations and assignments, hiring and dismissal of representatives, and warranty marketing, among other tasks. From 2012 until 2015, Mr. Smallwood flourished as a retail sales manager for GNC, a role in which he focused on loss prevention, sales training and promotional set-ups.
An expert in his field, Mr. Smallwood earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in kinesiology and exercise science from the University of Northern Colorado in 2012. Subsequently, he obtained a plethora of certifications in the field, including a certification through the National Roofing Contractors Association. He is also designated as a Platinum Preferred Contractor through Owens Corning, a Master Elite Contractor through GAF, and a Certified Specialty Contractor through Keller Williams Realty, Pure Group of Insurance Companies, and RE/MAX. Mr. Smallwood was further registered roof consultant through State Farm and a residential roofer through USAA.
In the coming years, Mr. Smallwood intends to maintain the high level of service his company continually provides. Though the roofing market has become saturated with sub-par workmanship, Mr. Smallwood ensures Gates Enterprises rises above those stereotypes, maintaining their 5-star reputation through exceptional customer service.
