Having begun his career in medicine as a staff member of the Tsuji Surgery Hospital in 2001, Dr. Kobayashi has subsequently garnered a laudable reputation in the field of orthopedic surgery. Following his association with the hospital, he worked for two years in the United States as a researcher at the Harvard University Medical School before returning to Osaka to work in management for the Hokusetsu General Hospital, and as a reviewer of medical devices for the Pharmacies and Medical Devices Agency in Tokyo. In 2007, Dr. Kobayashi decided to focus more of his time educating the next generation of medical and engineering students. Hired as a professor at Daido University, he taught on campus for between 2007 and 2015, and has since parleyed his expertise to students at the Takarazuka University Medical and Health Care in Hyogo, Japan. Teaching various medical science and medical therapy courses on campus, he has earned distinction as a passionate leader and mentor.
Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Dr. Kobayashi received a Doctor of Medicine at Osaka Medical College in Japan in 1991. Continuing his studies, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy in biomaterial science and a Doctor of Philosophy in mechanical engineering at Kyoto University in 2001 and 2003, respectively. To remain aware of developments effecting the field, Dr. Kobayashi has maintained his alignment with several pertinent organizations, including the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineering and the Japanese Orthopedics Association.
