Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Dupey prepared for her career at Montclair State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1975. Subsequently, she obtained a certificate in copywriting from New York University in 1988. After receiving the Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian grant, Ms. Dupey graduated as an IMLS Scholar with a Master of Library and Information Science from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey in 2010.
From 1985 to 1988, Ms. Dupey worked as a secretary for DDB Worldwide Communications Group Inc., in New York City prior to accepting the role of Assistant Communications Director in the executive government branch in Hudson County government, then serving the Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders in New Jersey, which she held from 1988 to 2000. She later excelled as a media specialist for the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center between 2000 and 2001. Eventually finding success as a public information officer for the Jersey City Free Public Library from 2004 until her retirement in 2017, Ms. Dupey continues to serve as a freelance copywriter.
A respected voice in the industry, Ms. Dupey has developed seminars, produced informative videos, and has served as a speaker in the field. A volunteer participant in communications for Gay Games IV in New York City, New York, she had maintained her government position with the planning and public relations committee for the Hudson County American Heritage Festival from 1994 to 1995. Active as a choir member of her church, Ms. Dupey was responsible for raising public awareness of the church programs as a volunteer public relations representative for the Grace Lutheran Church in Bayonne, NJ.
For her accomplishments in the field, Ms. Dupey shared the Governor's Award from the Hudson County American Heritage Festival in Hudson County government. An exceptional Marquis listee, she has also been selected for inclusion in many editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the Media and Communication, Who's Who in the World, Who's of American Women, and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
