Dr. Devika Kapuria has contributed to more than 50 research projects and articles
ALBUQUERQUE, NM, June 09, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Devika Kapuria has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Following her residency in internal medicine, Dr. Kapuria was deeply affected by her interactions with liver disease patients, and eventually decided to explore this aspect of the field in order to better assist them. Backed by her considerable expertise, she excels as a gastroenterology fellow with the University of New Mexico. With a plethora of knowledge at her disposal, she contributes to the editorial board of various scientific journals, and as a reviewer for several academic journals. Likewise, Dr. Kapuria serves on the steering committees of the American Association for Liver Disease.
An expert in her field, Dr. Kapuria obtained a Doctor of Medicine from Lady Hardinge Medical College in India. Subsequently, she completed a residency in internal medicine through the University of Missouri, a fellowship in clinical liver disease with the National Institute of Health and a fellowship in gastroenterology through the University of New Mexico. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Dr. Kapuria is affiliated with the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Association for Study of Liver Diseases.
In light of her outstanding work, Dr. Kapuria has received numerous professional awards and accolades. Additionally, she has contributed to more than 50 research projects and articles, including "Spontaneous clearance of chronic delta hepatitis," "Inclusion of Clinical Trial Registration Numbers in Conference Abstracts and Conference of Abstracts to CONSORT Guidelines" and "The Spectrum of Hepatic Involvement in Patients With Telomere Disease." Looking toward the future, she intends to develop a multidimensional approach to curing alcoholic liver disease. Dr. Kapuria also aims to establish a clinic that can focus on abstinence and reducing alcohol dependence and develop a way to help people with liver disease in a way that will decrease their need for a transplant.
