In light of her professional achievements, Carol Merritt has been featured on the cover of the Kansas City Star.
OVERLAND PARK, KS, July 08, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carol Merritt has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Backed by a wealth of industry experience and her prominent belief in God, Ms. Merritt has excelled as a real estate agent with Platinum Realty for the past three decades. Although she is proud of every transaction in which she has been involved, she was especially proud of a transaction she conducted Prairie Village for an elderly couple who owned a house across the street from a mansion that was being built. Assuming the bids for the property would come in around $80,000, the evening that she listed the house on the market revealed bids between $100,000 and $152,000 for the house. After fixing it up, Ms. Merritt sold their house for an astounding $262,000.
Prior to embarking on a successful real estate career, Ms. Merritt flourished as an educator, having worked as a teacher of various grades for several schools, including Argentine Middle School, Coronado Middle School, Rosedale Middle School, Saint Joseph Parochial School, Lincoln Elementary School and Riverside Elementary School. At the beginning of her career, she gained valuable expertise in the field as a counselor and a teacher at the Wichita YMCA. Devoted to her community, Ms. Merritt continues to tutor children who cannot read and has previously helped those in need through Colonial Presbyterian Church.
In the early 1960s, Ms. Merritt earned a Bachelor of Science in education from Huntington College. More than two decades later, she obtained a Master of Science in psychology from Goddard College. Notably, she retains her professional alignment with the Kansas Real Estate Commission, the Neighborhood Association, the Greenbriar Homes Association and the National Education Association. In light of her professional achievements, she has been featured on the cover of the Kansas City Star on two occasions and received recognition in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Education. Looking forward, Ms. Merritt aims to experience the continued growth and success of her real estate career.
