A senior executive with more than 30 years of expertise in leadership, team building and problem solving, Mr. Renkey excels as the president of V-Process Foundry Group, where he maintains full responsibility for two highly-automated, vacuum process aluminum casting foundries; Harmony Castings LLC and Taylor Pohlman Inc. Prior to obtaining his current role, he worked as the general manager of Harmony Castings and as the vice president of operations for Stahl Specialty Company. As the vice president, he oversaw $34 million in sales generated from casting and machining plants located in Kingsville, Missouri between 2011 and 2012. Additionally, Mr. Renkey supervised a number of direct reports, including two plant managers, and directors for human resources, quality, purchasing and customer service.
During the 2000s, Mr. Renkey gained valuable expertise in the field as a plant manager for Johnson Controls. In this capacity, he supervised the manufacturing and distribution of more than 4 million lead-acid batteries to hundreds of customers and locations throughout Florida. Earlier in his career, he worked as a superintendent and off-shift manager for Ford Motor Company, marketing representative and territory manager for Amerada Hess and served as a commissioned officer for the United States Marine Corps, during which time he attained the rank of a major. Even though his career has been suffused with highlights, Mr. Renkey is especially proud to have served as a plant manager of a facility where a green-field startup was established in 2008.
In pursuit of his career in manufacturing, Mr. Renkey earned a Bachelor of Arts in business from Grove City College in 1987. To remain aware of changes in the field, he maintains his professional affiliations with the Penn State University Metal Casting Advisory Committee, the Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology's Cast Metals Industrial Advisory Committee, the American Foundry Society, where he is a national board member, and the Non-Ferrous Founders' Society, where he sits as a member of the board. For his professional excellence, he was recognized with a National Defense Service Medal, the Kuwait Liberation Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal, a Combat Action Ribbon, and a Presidential Unit Citation.
