CORTE MADERA, CA, July 27, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jacqueline has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A prolific author, Ms. Faber has written three illustrated books for children, "Desiree's Night Flight," published in 2015, "A Purrfect Home for Kitters," released in 2019, and the upcoming "SuperGoldfish," available soon. Since 2009, she has focused on writing, and is working toward speaking engagements and book tours through her imprint, Faber Books. Jacqueline writes books that address not only the creative and academic needs of children, but convey sensitive and thoughtful messages to aid in their spiritual and emotional development. She is currently developing a video read-aloud program to complement her in-person classroom presentations, and a regional book tour for "SuperGoldfish" her newest picture book.
Ms. Faber is a writer, jeweler and retired, award-winning educator celebrating more than 37 years teaching in Marin County, California. She has changed the lives of children through her innovative, teaching and creative problem solving. She began her career at San Francisco State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and received a "Life Credential" in 1965. She subsequently taught in Marin County for 37 years, and was an elementary school teacher at Wade Thomas School for 26 years. Jacqueline received "The Golden Bell Award" in Project Based learning, a student led, theme-based teaching method that encourages students to create cross-disciplinary learning opportunities based on their individual interests. Students designed their own projects, wrote reports, and evaluated their own work on California Standards they helped make better! All the children educated each other as they shared their projects aloud. As a Project Based Learning teacher, Jacqueline excelled at helping students synthesize elements of the curriculum, and become an expert in numerous subject areas. She began her picture book writing after watching her students in their school library, and seeing their engagement when the librarian read aloud to them.
She was inspired by the connection between students' enjoyment of the picture books they read, and the impact they had on their academic growth. This gave Jacqueline the idea to create picture books that would empower curiosity, spirituality, and imagination. In addition to her work as a writer and teacher, Jacqueline is an accomplished metalworker and jewelry artisan. For more than 45 years, she has been creating unique pieces featuring 14 K gold, and silver, custom-designed jewelry. She specializes in pearls and semi-precious stones, currently offered under her "JewelryByJacquie" brand on Etsy. She is presently looking for new marketing opportunities.
Ms. Faber is a member of the Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators, and the Bay Area Independent Publishers Association. In accounting for her standout success, she credits her open-mindedness, tenacity, and desire to help children as a way to serve and follow her dreams.
