SAVANNAH, GA, August 06, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jaymie Y. Bowles has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Having accrued more than 15 years of inimitable expertise in the field of facility management and eight years in radio, Ms. Bowles has garnered a laudable reputation as the facility manager of the New Victory Theater, as well as the owner of WJMS Radio. During the course of her career, she previously served as an on-air personality for Philly Hott Radio, a Facility Manager at New York University, an Assistant Director with Aramark, an on-air personality for 900AM WURD and a promotions assistant at Radio Disney. As a respected voice in her field and after turning personal life tragedy into triumph, Ms. Bowles was invited as the keynote speaker for the NYU Black Girl Summit in 2019.
While coming of age, Ms. Bowles harbored a longstanding interest in music, and enjoyed creating mixtapes from songs on the radio. She initially majored in art at college but, after joining a radio club, she decided to switch her major in order to fulfill her lifelong dreams. Ms. Bowles proceeded to receive a Bachelor of Arts in communications from Arcadia University, as well as several industry certifications. She is certified in broadcasting through the Connecticut School of Broadcasting and in Facilities Management through the New York University School of Professional Studies. She most recently completed courses in social media marketing tips, project management, and content marketing.
Throughout her career, Ms. Bowles has been most proud to have won the Small Business of the Year in 2016 for WJMS Radio. She maintains her affiliation with civic and charitable organizations, such as the American Lung Association and the Lung Cancer Research Foundation. In her spare time, she enjoys jigsaw puzzles, playing pool, watching movies and roller-skating. Looking toward the future, Ms. Bowles hopes to further develop her station, and eventually become the head of an advocacy group in Savannah, Georgia, as well as a high-performing facility manager.
