Barbara Stoudt looks forward to remaining active in her volunteer efforts in the coming years.

For nearly 30 years, Ms. Stoudt cared for patients in complex medical settings throughout Northern California as a registered nurse. Drawn to the profession as an opportunity to serve others, she recalls that she has never been motivated by money, and shrugs off the attitudes of medical professionals attracted to their field by the pay. Ms. Stoudt completed her registered nurse training through Riverside Community College in 1989, and began her career with Addus Healthcare, with which she would remain for 15 years.
Ms. Stoudt has dedicated the last 13 years of her nursing career with Kaiser Permanente, with which she excelled at standard patient care and developed a diverse set of advanced nursing skills. She considers her work in wound care nursing, including wound vac procedures, and colostomy care, to be among her greatest accomplishments and the culmination of her nursing experience. Following her retirement from nursing, Ms. Stoudt has dedicated herself to volunteer work benefiting a local senior center, and to pursuing her hobby, gardening.
Ms. Stoudt attributes her success to the mentors and professional sounding boards she had throughout her career, and to their feedback and encouragement for helping her to grow as a professional. She looks forward to remaining active in her volunteer efforts in the coming years. Likewise, Ms. Stoudt hopes to continue actively utilizing her decades of expertise to serve others.
