POTOMAC, MD, August 12, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present David Satinsky with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, David Satinsky celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Having accrued more than 55 years of inimitable experience in the field of medicine, Dr. Satinsky garnered a laudable reputation through his private practice, the Neurology Center of Rockville, Maryland, between 1971 and 2019. During this time, he served as an assistant clinical professor of neurology at the George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Satinsky previously found success as the director of the headache clinic of Chevy Chase from 1979 to 1985, and as an attending neurologist for the National Children's Rehabilitation Center of Leesburg, Virginia, from 1970 until 1972.
While coming of age, Dr. Satinsky drew a wealth of inspiration from two of his uncles, who were physicians in their own right. Though he initially wished to become a professional musician, he eventually resolved to forge ahead on his professional journey into the healthcare industry. To wit, Dr. Satinsky received a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania in 1960 and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1964. Following the conclusion of his academic efforts, he undertook an internship at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center, became a research associate of the National Institutes of Mental Health and completed a neurology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Throughout his career, Dr. Satinsky was proud to be a Benjamin Franklin Scholar, as well as his service as a principle investigator for the drug, Copaxane, which is still in use today. Specializing in multiple sclerosis, he also offered his expertise to the field by contributing numerous articles to professional journals. Eminently qualified in his field, Dr. Satinsky holds a medical license in the state of Maryland and is certified with the American Board of Qualification in Electroencephalography and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Despite having retired in 2019, Dr. Satinsky remains aware of developments in his field through his affiliation with the American Epilepsy Society, the American Headache Society, the American Board of Clinical Biofeedback, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Medical Association, the Montgomery County Medical Society and the American Electroencephalographic Society. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the violin, taking photographs and volunteering at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.
