For his outstanding work in his town, Lawrence Koki recently received the Volunteer of the Year Award.
WAILUKU, HAWAII, August 18, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lawrence Koki has been included in Marquis Who's Who. While growing up in Hawaii, Mr. Koki would frequently help his uncle with his trucking company. The experiences left a lasting impression on him and eventually encouraged him to pursue a similar path. At the beginning of his career, Mr. Koki gained valuable expertise as an electrician but discovered that the post was not the right fit for him, so he returned to his uncle's company, where he remained for three years.
Mr. Koki subsequently found success with Maui Trucking for more than 25 years. Following this tenure, he and a friend decided to establish a business together. In 2006, he became the president of Island Lowboy & Trucking LLC, which specializes in contract truck hauling. Although his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Koki is especially proud of becoming the primary heavy haul driver for the first gas turbine generator that was installed at the Maui Electric Power Plant.
Dedicated to furthering his skills in the industry, Mr. Koki completed coursework at technical school for one year. During his spare time, he contributes to his community as a volunteer regarding moving heavy equipment. For his outstanding work in his town, he recently received the Volunteer of the Year Award. Looking ahead, Mr. Koki intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career.
