Ruth San Pietro's art is designed to inspire others while expanding awareness and increasing the knowledge of the conservation of imperiled wildlife around the world.
BELLINGHAM, WA, August 20, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ruth San Pietro has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Driven by a love of nature, the environment and quality of life, Ms. San Pietro began creating handmade recycled paper. The first piece done in 1990 was one inch by two inches. That piece became the gateway for her to create three-dimensional images, which further evolved into her sculptural paintings made from 100 percent recycled paper fiber. Subsequently, Ms. San Pietro melded that ability with her love of the arts and has since excelled as an entrepreneur, artist, educator, executive owner and creator of her company, Images. Ruth's art is designed to inspire others while expanding awareness and increasing the knowledge of the conservation of imperiled wildlife around the world.
For 20 years, Ms. San Pietro utilized her artistic expertise as an art instructor specializing in painting, drawing and sculpture for Santa Monica College and many Northwest libraries. Although her career has been filled with highlights, she is especially proud of working with American Art Collector magazine. Through her relationship with the magazine, she was profiled in a story that encouraged her to release her art to the public. In 2019, Ms. San Pietro was also honored to be selected as part of The Best of the Northwest exhibition as well as the Bellevue Art Museum Arts Fair.
During the 1960s and 1970s, Ms. San Pietro earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in art education from Buffalo State University. She earned her Master of Fine Arts in art education from Hunter College in New York. Profits from the sale of her work have gone to several organizations, including the Jane Goodall Institute, the Greater Los Angeles Zoo and the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, to name a few. Looking toward the future, Ms. San Pietro aims to stay on track and live life to the fullest every day while continuing to exhibit her work to the public and raise awareness of biodiversity. Her website is sanpietropaper.com.
