In addition to her role as a visiting professor at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey in 1994, she has provided her wealth of expertise as a presenter in her field, as for example, Keynote speaker for Children's Counselors of Orange County 2017 and Keynote speaker for Art Educators of NJ, at the NJ Education Association Convention 2006. Notably, Dr. Peck maintains her affiliation with such organizations as the Authors Guild, the American Art Therapy Association, and The Sculptors Guild.
Before embarking upon her professional path, Dr. Peck pursued an education at Adelphi University in Garden City, NY, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1952. She continued her academic efforts at Columbia University, from which she earned a Master of Arts in 1974 and a Master of Education in 1975. Soon thereafter, Dr. Peck obtained a Doctor of Education from New York University in 1977.
Judith Peck is a sculptor, her work included in over 80 collections here and abroad including the Yale University Art Gallery, the Ghetto Fighters Museum in Israel, City of West Palm Beach Florida Library, and Teaneck Public Library. Dr. Peck found success with her written works as well, authoring nine books: Leap to the Sun, Art & Social Interaction, Sculpture as Experience, Art Activities for Mind and Imagination, Artistic Crafts, Smart Starts in the Arts, Seeing in the Dark ( a novel), and two children's books. Her novel Naked Under the Lights will be released by Black Rose Writing October 29, 2020. The recipient of the First Place Prize in Sculpture Award from the New Jersey State Exhibition in Montclair, NJ in 1964,and a Merit Award from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2003, she has been previously highlighted in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education and Who's Who of American Women. Through continuing loan exhibitions of her large outdoor works, recently Art Now, the Edith Wharton Home MA; The Meredith Sculpture Walk, NH; The City of Concord, NH; The City of Stamford, CT, Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, NYC; and Sculpture for Leonia, NJ, Dr. Peck continues to share her sculptural themes of human hardship, resilience and joy.
