In addition to her stellar work with Kings County Hospital, Ms. Singh serves in the same role with the Health & Hospital Corporation. She has been further active as a registered nurse with Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center since 2003. Over the years, Ms. Singh has gained valuable experience in the fields of nursing and public health as a clinical nurse manager and the interim director of nursing for the emergency department at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Between 2015 and 2018, Ms. Singh managed the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center's departmental nursing budget, promoted patient care by motivating nurses to prioritize patient education and holistic wellbeing, and developed new educational programs to improve patient outcomes. From the early 1990s until the mid-2010s, she advanced in the field of nursing through roles of increasing responsibility, including as an emergency medical technician with Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, the director of nursing at Rikers Island Correctional Facility, and both a staff nurse and the nurse manager of the emergency department at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center.
In 2003, Ms. Singh earned an Associate of Applied Science in nursing from Borough of Manhattan Community College. Subsequently, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Molloy College in 2011, a Master of Arts in executive nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2016 and a Master of Business Administration from DeVry University in 2018. She remains aware of changes in the field through her professional alignment with the Emergency Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. In the coming years, Ms. Singh aims to remain in public healthcare regardless of her social or economic status.
