He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the aforementioned university in 1982. Garnering invaluable educating expertise, Dr. Mathews continued his studies at Andrews University by obtaining a Master of Arts in religion, and impressed with his academic achievements, the administration decided to retain him as a member of the faculty. After serving at Spicer till 1999, he moved to USA as a missionary and later completed his educational ventures by graduating from Newburgh Theological Seminary with a Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies and Christian leadership in 2009.
