Originally planning to pursue a career as a probation officer, Mr. McCrea became inspired by a friend who worked as a stockbroker. Intrigued by how lucrative the field was, he began pursuing work in the financial industry. Between 1975 and 2006, he gained valuable professional expertise as an investment advisor and managing offices and regions while working for such companies as Prudential Bache, First Union Security and helping TIB Bank of the Keys develop their Investment Division. Before his retirement in 2006, Mr. McCrea worked as an investment advisor with Ameriprize.
In pursuit of his initial dreams of a career as a probation officer, Mr. McCrea earned a Bachelor of Science in criminology from Ohio State University. After switching career paths, he earned the Series 7 and 8 licenses, as well as a principal license in stocks and bonds and options and commodities. Dedicated to his community, Mr. McCrea has contributed through his professional alignment with being appointed an arbitrator with The American Arbitration Association, the Erie, Pennsylvania Area Philharmonic and his local church and food pantry.
In accounting for his standout success, Mr. McCrea credits his propensity for constantly striving to better himself and advance the breadth of his knowledge. Outside of his vocational circles, he lives with his fiance, Renee Glosser in The Villages, FL. Mr. McCrea is extremely proud of his two daughters, Michele Stanley of Alliance, OH and Stephanie Holmes of upstate New York, his four grandchildren and two new twin great grandsons.
