While studying in college, Mr. Wright seized an opportunity to apply for an internship in the information technology field at the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT). At Mn/DOT, Mr. Wright became a Novell & Wintel Systems engineer. After working at Mn/DOT, Mr. Wright earned a Bachelor of Arts in public policy from the University of Minnesota. Mr. Wright later worked at Cargill in the following positions as a PC support analyst, Wintel Systems engineer, technical integrator and as a project manager.
Mr. Wright received a Master of Business Administration in technology management from the University of Phoenix in 2008. Eminently qualified in his field, he earned a business analysis certificate before becoming a senior infrastructure engineer at Best Buy.
Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Wright has gained expertise in the platform, storage, database, and network fields. He has been most grateful to be able to work with different people and groups throughout his career.
Mr. Wright has attributed his professional success to his parents, who provided him with no end of encouragement as he pursued his career path. He is also proud to have help developed a highly motivated team, which works hard to deliver the technology services to customers. A dedicated member of his community, Mr. Wright has maintained involvement with Feed My Starving Children, Open Arms of Minnesota, United Way Worldwide and, formerly, the Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee. Mr. Wright maintains his professional affiliation with the Project Management Institute. Looking toward the future, he plans to advance into a managerial position with Best Buy.
