From a young age, Mr. Cross harbored a penchant and respect for physical labor. After completing two years of collegiate coursework, Mr. Cross began accumulating expertise in several sectors of the construction industry, eventually garnering more than 50 years of experience.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Cross has served with such esteemed companies as SW Rodgers Company Incorporated, Prince Williams Construction, Moore Brothers Construction Incorporated and the Lane Construction Corporation, to name a few. With these companies, he excelled in earth moving, excavation, road building and equipment operating, among other proficiencies. He currently flourishes as one of several general superintendents of Branch Civil Incorporated. In this capacity, Mr. Cross supervises the daily operations, staffing and supply of numerous projects concerning highway construction, site development and structure designing.
Mr. Cross was also responsible for projects that include the 4th runway construction at Dulles airport, the construction of the 495 Capital Beltway express lanes area 1, the rebuilding of the Springfield interchange phase 2&3, which included a $10 million dollar early completion bonus, I-95 widening in Prince William County and most recently the widening of I-64 in Hanover and Kent Counties, VA. that included a 1 million dollar early completion bonus.
Mr. Cross has been presented with accolades by the Heavy Construction Contractors Association for his efforts on past assignments in addition to recognition for his accomplishments with the Diverging Diamond Interchange. Likewise, he has accrued an erosion sediment certification, an occupational safety and health administration certification and an environmental certification. Mr. Cross plans to expand the influence of his corporation until he enters into a well-deserved retirement in the near future.
