As a child, Ms. Carter contributed much of her time providing care for her elderly great grandmother. She later began taking care of a couple, which eventually became a full-time job. She received a medicine technician license, as well as a certified nursing assistant license through the American Red Cross, and began working in her field in 1998. Presently, Ms. Carter works as a CNA field specialist for Brightstar Care, through which she has enjoyed caring for seniors during difficult times in their lives, especially when their families are not available.
As a dedicated professional, Ms. Carter was presented with the Heart of Caring Award from the Senior Lifestyle Corporation and was named as the Brightstar Care Caregiver of the Year in 2016. In her current position, she cares for seniors in facilities, hospitals, homes and senior homes. For her patients, Ms. Carter provides medication, oversees dressings and takes them to important appointments.
Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Carter has been most grateful to hear countless stories from her patients. She also enjoys working with Brightstar, because their diverse team of caregivers always help one another. She has attributed her professional success to her innate sense of empathy and compassion for her patients. Looking toward the future, Ms. Carter plans to continue on her current path toward success.
