Mr. Hebert is renowned as a product development engineer who has been affiliated with 3M, a Fortune 500 company that specializes in creating technology and products that advance companies and individuals alike, for over 20 years. Serving in his current capacity for several years, he formerly held the roles of application engineer and laboratory supervisor with the aforementioned company. Working in the state of Minnesota in one of the 40 U.S. locations, Mr. Hebert is notably skilled in product engineering and project management, computer-aided design, finite element modeling, statistical analysis and structural engineering.
Prior to his long and successful career with 3M, Mr. Hebert was active with Boeing in Kansas and Washington for 15 years as a designer and structural design manager. Leading design efforts of aircrafts as well as materials for aircrafts, he also flourished as a design manager and a lead engineer for the organization between 1982 and 1997. An inventor in his field, Mr. Hebert holds 25 U.S. patents and patents pending.
Through his community, Mr. Hebert has been involved with the Knights of Columbus as both a member and the former secretary, posts in which he has led numerous initiatives pertaining to public service and for various charity organizations by way of fundraising. Attributing much of his success to working with individuals from around the world who are equally as passionate about their work as he is, he has also enjoyed remaining aligned with several professional organizations. Among them, Mr. Hebert is notably a member of the Society of Engineers International and the European Organization for Civil Aviation Equipment.
Originally interested in civil engineering and the construction of bridges, Mr. Hebert later decided to pursue a career that would involve the design of aircrafts and aircraft structure. To prepare for his career, he pursued an education at the University of Minnesota, earning a Bachelor of Science in engineering in 1982. In the years to come, Mr. Hebert aspires to continue working in a similar capacity, while utilizing every opportunity to be surrounded by new technology.
In recognition of his leadership and skills, Mr. Hebert received a Division Circle of Technical Excellence and Innovation Award from 3M in 2007. He was later recognized with a Corporate Global Circle of Technical Excellence and Innovation Award in 2009. Mr. Hebert was also honored with a Prix d'Excellence Recherche Collaborative Award from the Consortium for Research and Innovation in Aerospace in Québec, Canada.
