In addition to his work with Leader Marketing, he is the owner and president of South Entertainment Group LLC, and president and divisional manager of Family Heritage Life Insurance Company of America. During the earlier years of his career, Mr. Shelton gained valuable expertise in business as the divisional and regional manager of Combined Insurance. Dedicated to his country, he also served as a member of the 75th Infantry Airborne Rangers with the U.S. Army. Although his career has been filled with highlights, he is especially proud of his longstanding success in the insurance industry and managing the Eastern division of Family Heritage. Outside of his success in business, he has fostered his creative side over the years, producing an album with Brian Kelley, and writing more than 130 songs, as well as a book titled "Against the Grain" in 1995.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Shelton earned an associate degree from the University of Tennessee in 1978. In his spare time, he aligns himself with the National Rifle Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the USCCA. Devoted to his community, he has also given back as a church group leader at The River Church in Nashville since 2014.
To attest to his success, Mr. Shelton received a Distinguished Sales Management Award in 1986, as well as an Executive Ring of Diamonds in 2003. In the coming years, he intends to continue giving back and mentor the next generation of industry professionals.
