Noted as one of the two woman business owners in advertising during the 1970s, Ms. Kitzrow bolstered the international brands of Citibank, Reuters, Trammel Crow Company, Tanguay-Burke-Stratton, Gulf & Western Industries, Stedman Graham & Associates and Pattern Systems through Kitzrow & Kitzrow. Likewise, she has contributed to SignatureWeb Medical, Encyclopedia Britannica, the American Dietetic Association, Creation Kitchen & Bath and the Renaissance Hotel of Chicago. Ms. Kitzrow has also helped revitalize campaigns, branding and product marketing for Material Service Corporation, Simmons-Boardman Publishing, the Community Counseling Centers of Chicago and Federated Stores, among many others.
Ms. Kitzrow began her career in marketing and advertising at the age of 22, pioneering her inaugural company in California in 1962 before relocating to Chicago with Kitzrow & Kitzrow. Previously, she graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Art History and Design, magna cum laude, in 1961. Beyond her primary responsibilities in the field, Ms. Kitzrow has found success on the board of directors for the Three Arts Club of Chicago and the Community Counseling Centers of Chicago.
Since 2006, Ms. Kitzrow has flourished as the owner of Marjorie Midgarden Fragrances LLC in Evanston. An independent prestige fragrance company, she has crafted a number of esteemed brands through Marjorie Midgarden Fragrances, including Summersent and FUEL. Ms. Kitzrow was proud to have her brands selected for inclusion in Takashimaya, the Plaza Hotel in New York, Liberty of London, Fenwick on Bond Street, London, and 22 stores and boutiques in Berlin, Munich, Dusseldorf and Hamburg, amongst others. Von Maur department stores, and Marjorie Midgraden Fragrances were notably profiled in Crain's Chicago Business for her fragrances in Von Maur department stores.
In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Kitzrow has accrued 20 Addy Awards throughout her impressive career. Active in her profession as a single parent, she dedicates her time and attention to her two wonderful children and three loving grandchildren.
