Drawing upon more than 20 years of professional excellence in both military services, medicinal technology and business ownership, Mr. Gorden has excelled as the owner of The Gaming Goat since 2020. Located in the Shops at Norterra shopping complex in Phoenix, The Gaming Goat is recognized as the largest tabletop gaming chain in the United States, and has been acclaimed for offering tradeable card games and gaming supplies throughout the Phoenix area. Recently, Mr. Gorden participated in a holiday raffle benefitting the Phoenix Children's Hospital, in which the winner of the raffle receives a limited edition alternative art cover version of the "Dungeons & Dragons" fifth edition book, titled "Tasha's Cauldron of Everything." In his position as owner, Mr. Gorden oversees daily operations, including checking pre-orders of gaming supplies, providing customer service and ensuring that the company's shelves are stocked regularly.
Prior to founding his own business, Mr. Gorden served as a hyperbaric technician at the wound care clinic at Tempe St. Luke's Hosptial, drawing upon a diver medic certificate from 2007. Additionally, he served in the United States Army for seven years between 1997 and 2004, through which he earned a Congressional Certificate of Recognition for his service during wartime efforts. Engaged in his local community as well, Mr. Gorden has volunteered at animal shelters and through the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
Although his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Gorden is especially proud of starting his own business, and notes that he is living the "American dream." He attributes his immense success to his own sense of perseverance. Looking toward the future, he intends to hire more employees to better serve the Phoenix gaming community.
