For more than 15 years, Ms. Brumfield has excelled as an accountant and analyst in the financial services sector and for major companies across several industries. By middle school, the young Ms. Brumfield had already developed a passion for accounting after watching her mother, a bookkeeper, at work. While completing a Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance from Wright State University, Ms. Brumfield pursued a two-year accounting internship through the school.
Ms. Brumfield began her accounting career in 2007 as a financial planning assistant for Buckingham Financial Group, departing the following year to accept a position as a financial analyst with Cox Media Group. Since 2012, she has concurrently served as a senior analyst for Cox Automotive, Inc., most recently as part of their newly formed Continuous Process Improvement team assisting the Enterprise Finance & Accounting organization. Some of Ms. Brumfield's greatest professional successes have come out of her work in these roles, including a lead role in consolidating reconciliations across the locations to be handled at a corporate level.
Ms. Brumfield plays a key role in audits, process oversight and documentation, and continues to assist the posting and procurement teams at Cox Automotive. She attributes her success to her personality and strong teamwork skills, and hopes to explore other potential opportunities within Cox Automotive in the future. As a part of her commitment to collaboration and service, Ms. Brumfield is an active volunteer with the Interfaith Hospitality Network.
