In order to prepare for her professional journey, Ms. Alvarado has worked every department of the peri-operative setting from clerical to clinical. Following this accomplishment, she is currently enrolled in the BSN/MBA program at Thomas Edison State University. Throughout the course of her impressive career, Ms. Alvarado is most proud to have held a position that allowed her to impart her knowledge to others in the field and lead successful surgical teams. She is also a speaker at the annual Becker's Business and Operations of ASCs meeting where she shares her knowledge and expertise in regard to leading successful surgical teams and best practices on how to meet CMS and accreditation standards.
An empathetic individual, Ms. Alvarado attributes her success to having worked with a great mentor who taught her about loyalty, leadership, and turning adversities into opportunities, also by surrounding herself with people with the same work habits and positive mental attitude. To remain aware of developments in her areas of interest, she maintains her affiliation with such organizations as ASCA and NJAASC. Looking towards the future, Ms. Alvarado intends to contribute to more surgery centers, where she hopes to make changes and demonstrate that ASCs have an exceptional ability to provide quality of patient care and increase patient and staff satisfaction.
