In her current roles as the vice president and regional marketing officer for the Zenith Insurance Company, she draws upon a compliment of skills in marketing, underwriting, team building, leadership and risk management with a focus on the company's financial objectives, Ms. Billeci is also responsible for pipeline strategies and agency management, utilizing her skill set to retain clients and delivery of superior services.
Ms. Billeci decided to pursue her current profession due to her analytic expertise and her passion for protecting the well-being of businesses and individuals. Initially earning an associate's degree from Diablo Valley College in 1981, she subsequently obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature with a minor in Government from Sacramento State University, a part of the California State University system. Ms. Billeci also earned a management and supervision certificate from Diablo Valley College after completing her underwriting career at Industrial Indemnity in 1990.
As her career progressed, Ms. Billeci served as multi-line underwriter, supervisor, manager, associate vice president and branch manager for the Fireman's Fund in San Jose and San Francisco. She has also found success as an underwriting manager for Liberty Mutual. Ms. Billeci draws upon considerable experience from her tenure at American International Group (AIG) as well, having contributed to the company as the vice president of sales and marketing, western zone energy practice leader, major accounts relationship manager and corporate casualty manager of primary and excess liability at various points throughout her career.
An expert in her field, Ms. Billeci remains active as a valuable resource to employees who are young in career in her company, offering them ongoing mentoring so they can grow professionally and cultivate their skills in sales and underwriting. Proud of her knowledge of risk management, she is grateful for the team with which she surrounds herself and is noted for her ability to build effective teams. As she progresses in her career, Ms. Billeci hopes to continue to grow professionally, possibly advancing into a post in executive management or consultancy in the insuretech arena.
Ms. Billeci currently serves on the Sacramento State Alumni Association board and the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation Western Board. She is also a member of the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco.
