Enjoying many diverse careers for nearly 45 years, Ms. Dobrick is presently the chief executive officer of JSD enterprises in Chicago. This organization was created to sponsor specific organizations to achieve their goals. Early on, she gained recognition as a consultant for the Emergency and Environmental practice at Laventhol & Horwath Consulting in Chicago, where she was responsible for client compliance in their respective industries. She also worked for an advertising company in their sales department. During the five years she worked for them, Ms. Dobrick was a member of the Millionaire's Club and recognized for outstanding performance amoung a national sales force.
While working Ms. Dobrick applied to and was accepted to the Chicago program F.A.C.E. This allowed her to obtain a master's degree in special education while working in the school system.
Ms. Dobrick spent over a decade working for Chicago Public Schools as a special education teacher for kindergarten to eighth grades.
In 2013, Ms. Dobrick authored her first children's book through Mascot Books, titled "Whining is Whining in Any Language." The book explores languages worldwide, and shows we are more alike than different. It is currently available through Amazon Books.
Committed to her community, Ms. Dobrick was honored to serve on the board for TimeLine Theater. She is active in Scholarship Grants, an organization that makes it possible for students to get into outstanding colleges and universities all over the country. Additionally, they are the first member in their families to ever attend higher education. She is active with Impact Grants, a group of dedicated women that awards organizations monetary grants that help them continue their work helping needy people in Chicago.
NARAL is an especially important organization that is included in Ms. Dobrick's charitable giving. In the past she was on the board for the Chicago's Art Dealers Association. She worked with the associate boards of the Contemporary Museum of Chicago, and worked with Steppenwolf Theatre when they were expanding. She also participated in the W.T.T.W. auction.
Ms. Dobrick was honored to help on the Board of Chicago Film Festival. Additionally, she was vice president for the Chicago Wastewater and Sewage Group, the oldest environment organization in Chicago.
Ms. Dobrick studied at Ohio University and the Art Institute of Chicago. She holds a Bachelor of Art and a Master of Art, both from Roosevelt University.
