ELIZABETHTOWN, PA, March 22, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Milton Friedly has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
While studying for his undergraduate degree, Mr. Friedly found that teaching came naturally to him. After receiving an Associate of Arts from Northwest College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Arizona State University, he went on to graduate school and accepted a position as a teaching assistant. Following this period, Mr. Friedly earned a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Wyoming and soon became a full-time professor of art. In this capacity, he teaches four classes each semester, including senior seminar classes and mentoring services for young artists.
As an artist, Mr. Friedly specializes in ceramics, sculpture, installations and printmaking. Likewise dedicated as a civic-minded citizen, he offers his talents as a volunteer judge for local art shows, and as a mentor for young artists through the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts. As a testament to his talent, Mr. Friedly received the Maya Schock Award for Sculpture and a Certificate of Excellence at the Soho International Art Competition. His work also won first prize at the Gallery at Open Stage and the Statewide Juried Show. Most recently, he received a senior merit at Elizabethtown College.
Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Friedly most proud to have excelled as a full professor. Likewise, he is grateful for the many museum shows where his work has been exhibited, including the Lesher Center for the Arts and the George Krevsky Fine Art. In addition, Mr. Friedly has organized over 100 art exhibitions, including "Print – Making an Impression", "Peacemaking: An American and European Exchange of Art and Writings" in Stuttgart, Germany and "Lawrence Ferlinghetti: An American Cultural Icon" at Elizabethtown College.
Mr. Friedly has attributed his standout success to hard work and perseverance. He has also been guided by his faith, which has influenced him to take advantage of opportunities, and show generosity with his time and energy. He maintains his professional affiliation with the International Sculpture Center, the Demuth Museum and the Philadelphia Sculpture Group. Looking toward the future, Mr. Friedly plans to continue working and making art.
