Driven to pursue a career in service to others, Dr. Miller earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Loyola University in 1984. Subsequently, he obtained a Doctor of Medicine from Northwestern University and completed an internal medicine residency there as well. During training, he discovered that he had an interest in caring for families with allergic problems and pursued a fellowship in allergy and immunology through Northwestern University & Children's Memorial.
Board certified in adult and pediatric allergy and immunology, Dr. Miller currently excels as a physician with Advanced Allergists, with which he has treated adults and children with environmental allergies, asthma, food allergies, hereditary issues and contact allergy problems. Alongside his primary work with Advanced Allergists, he teaches pediatric residents at Lutheran General Hospital. Even though his career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Miller is incredibly proud of serving as an officer and the president of the Illinois Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology over the course of five years.
Dr. Miller remains aware of changes in the field through his professional alignment with the American Academy and American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology, as a Fellow of both societies. During his spare time, he dedicates his attention to his wife and two children while also contributing to his community through the local church, theater, Scouting, and school science fairs. Dr. Miller enjoys getting to know his patients as people rather than focusing solely on their health issues.
