FIRENZE, ITALY, April 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel Chorzempa has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

At the age of four, Mr. Chorzempa began playing the piano. Fostering his love of music, he eventually studied the violin, harpsichord, clavichord and fortepiano as well. Due to his expertise at the age of 17 he was offered a teaching position at the University of Minnesota, where he subsequently earned a Doctor of Philosophy in musicology and Renaissance studies and obtained a Fulbright fellowship to study in Europe, where he concluded his academic training in conducting, piano and composition at the Musikhochschule of Cologne, working for eight years in the famous Studio for Electronic Music until 1979.

Throughout his career, Mr. Chorzempa has conducted and performed on the piano, harpsichord, fortepiano and organ with a plethora of notable orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, New Philharmonia Orchestra, Liverpool Orchestra, Madrid Symphony Orchestra, the Yomiuri Orchestra and Osaka Symphony Orchestra in Japan, and the Cape Town and Johannesburg Orchestras in South Africa. In light of his outstanding wealth of knowledge, he has conducted seminars on topics ranging from the Middle Ages to contemporary music, as well as master classes at the Basel Music Academy, Stuttgart Bach Academy and Salzburg Mozarteum, amongst other locations. He has produced many videos and recordings and authored such works as "Reflections on Churches and Organs in America" in "Perspectives on Organ Playing and Musical Interpretation."

For his outstanding professional accomplishments, Mr. Chorzempa was honored with the Liszt Grand Prix in Budapest in 1977, the German Record Prize and Dutch Edison Prize, as well as the Lorenzo il Magnifico Prize in 2004. Recognized as an honorary academic by the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno in 2018 of which he is a member, Mr. Chorzempa was notably featured in several editions of Who's Who in the World.

Mr. Chorzempa is honorary president of the Mantua Cavazzoni Association and was recently reelected to the Board of Directors of the Leipzig New Bach Society. Even though his career has been full of highlights, he values particularly the fact of being a specialist of five keyboard instruments, composer, conductor and musicologist.
