RICHMOND, VA, April 29, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kelvin Taylor has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. As a child, Mr. Taylor was raised by his grandparents because his mother worked as both a teacher and a department store associate. After his own experiences with troublesome youth, he began working at a group home for at-risk children, with which he was appointed as the director soon thereafter. Mr. Taylor was inspired to establish a mentoring company called Impact Mentors, which helped foster his entrepreneurial spirit.
After briefly owning a clothing store, Mr. Taylor ventured into event promotion, promoting parties and concerts while connecting with many people in his industry. After completing contracted work for Live Nation, he joined a janitorial franchise, JAN-PRO, for which he has excelled as a franchise owner since 2015. Mr. Taylor has been additionally active as the owner of Champs Musik, a record label in distribution with Ingrooves/Universal Records.
As a successful business owner, Mr. Taylor was presented with the Certified Business Owner of the Year Award by the president and chief executive officer of JAN-PRO, Russ Reynolds. Notably, he will be flown out to Atlanta in September 2021 for an opportunity to speak to the whole team at JAN-PRO. In addition, his company and he were featured in the Richmond Times-Dispatch in 2020. Looking toward the future, he hopes to establish a nonprofit organization titled Kat Cares, in order to offer support for at-risk and homeless youth. Mr. Taylor also plans to start a carrier trucking company in his grandfather's name, known as Major Carrier Inc.
